Who We Are

Who We Are

A Home for the People of Hawai‘i and Beyond

The Garden Honolulu is a church plant with a heart for the next generation and a vision for lasting impact. We believe church should feel like family—a place where faith is nurtured, lives are restored, and people are sent out to bring healing wherever God leads them.

Pastor Reece and Sarah had a vision that they were called to plant churches in Hawai'i 10 years ago, and in 2024 that vision began to become clear. Following nights in the word, praying, growing, and sitting with Jesus, The Garden Honolulu was organically planted. We believe that God is doing something beautiful here in Hawai'i, and we are honored to join him in his great work. We believe that God has a beautiful plan for everyone's life - and by becoming rooted in Christ and growing in community, we believe our lives can bear fruit that will change the world. Come and grow with us at The Garden.

Our vision is to see Hawai‘i redeemed and raised up as a healing hub for the world. Everything we do flows from this mission:

  • Rooted in Christ – Building our lives on Jesus and His Word. Partnering with the Holy Spirit who lives in us.
  • Growing in Community – Living life together with authenticity and love, while pursuing Jesus as one family.
  • Fruit to the World – Being sent out to serve, heal, and impact the nations.
In Hawai'i as it is in Heaven

Our Beliefs

At The Garden, we believe the Holy Bible is the living and trustworthy Word of God: unchanging, steadfast, and true, because its Author is the Lord Himself. Scripture was written by people inspired by the Holy Spirit, and it continues to be breathed upon by that same Spirit today. The Word of God is a lamp that illuminates the path of a world lost in sin and sorrow, guiding us toward righteousness and glory. It is a guide that straightens both individual lives and entire communities, and a sharp, two-edged sword that lovingly exposes sin and calls us to repentance. Scripture is also a cord of grace, strong enough to pull the wandering home, tender enough to bind up the brokenhearted. The Bible stands as the only true foundation for Christian unity and fellowship, the loving invitation of an infinitely loving God. At the same time, it carries a holy warning, revealing both the hope of heaven and the reality of judgment. It points us toward life and cautions us away from destruction. Ultimately, the Word of God is the divine and eternal standard by which all people, nations, beliefs, and motives will be measured. At The Garden, we submit our lives, our church, and our future to the authority of Scripture, trusting it to form deep roots, bear good fruit, and lead us faithfully to Jesus.

1. “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” (Mt. 24:35)

2. “Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven.” (Ps. 119:89)

3. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Tim. 3:16,17) "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Ps. 119:105)

4. “And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.” (2 Peter 1:19-21)

5. “You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.” (Jn.5:39)

6. “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Tim. 2:15) “...let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind.” (Phil. 3:16) (Also, 1 Jn.4:1; Is.8:20; 1 Thess. 5:21; Acts 17:11; 1 Jn.4:6; Jude 3; Eph. 6:17; Ps. 119:59,60; Phil. 1:9-11).

We believe in one true and living God, `Io, The Creator of heaven and earth, the Alpha and the Omega, who was, who is, and who is to come. He is infinitely holy, mighty, tender, loving, and glorious, and He alone is worthy of all honor, trust, obedience, and praise, now and forever. Within the unity of the Godhead, we believe God eternally exists as three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, equal in divine nature, distinct in role, and perfectly united in the work of redemption.

The Father is majestic in holiness and rich in mercy. Though His glory is beyond what humanity can fully behold, His heart is filled with love for a broken world. Out of that love, He freely gave His only Son to redeem and reconcile us to Himself.

The Son, Jesus Christ, is co-eternal with the Father. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, He took on human flesh, bore our sin, carried our sorrow, and gave His life on the cross to purchase redemption for all who believe. He rose victorious over sin and death, ascended into heaven, and now stands at the right hand of the Father as our mediator and intercessor.

The Holy Spirit is fully God, present and powerful, actively at work in the world today. He convicts hearts, draws people to Jesus, comforts the weary, guides into truth, and empowers believers to live holy and fruitful lives. The Spirit prepares God’s people for the return of Christ and the fulfillment of God’s kingdom.

At The Garden, we worship the Triune God and surrender our lives to His love, authority, and transforming power.

8. “But when the Helper comes whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.” (Jn. 15:26) (Also, 2 Cor. 13:14; Mt. 28:19; Rom. 8:11; Jn. 16:7-14)

We believe humanity was created in the image of God, formed for holiness, purity, and close fellowship with Him. In the beginning, humanity walked with God in harmony and freedom. Through willful disobedience, humanity chose a different path and fell from that original design. Sin entered the world, and with it brokenness, separation, and death. This fall affects every person not by force, but by choice - shaping our hearts, our desires, and our actions.

Because of sin, we are unable to fully reflect the holiness God requires on our own. We stand guilty and in need of grace, unable to rescue ourselves, and fully dependent on God’s mercy. Apart from Him, we are inclined toward what leads to harm rather than life. At The Garden, we believe this truth is not meant to produce shame, but honesty, redemption, and hope for a life with Christ - creating space for repentance, healing, and restoration through Jesus Christ, who alone makes new life possible.

Scripture References

1. “So God created man in His own image.” (Gn. 1:27)

2. “Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned” (Rom. 5:12) “...by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners...” (Rom. 5:19) Also, Jn.3:6; Ps. 51:5; Rom. 5:15-19;8:7)

3. “We have turned, every one, to his own way;” (Is. 53:6) (Also, Gen. 6:12; 3:9-19)

4. “among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.” (Eph. 2:3) (See Rom. 1:18,32; 2:1-16; Mt. 20:15; Gal. 3:10; Ez.18:19,20)

5. “...so that they are without excuse.” (Rom. 1:20) “...that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.” (Rom. 3:19) (Also, Gal. 3:22)

We believe that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. The righteous One giving His life for the unrighteous. By the loving will of the Father, Jesus freely took our place, carrying our sin, bearing our judgment, and suffering the death we deserved. Through His sacrifice on the cross at Calvary, Jesus fully paid the price of our sin. By the shedding of His blood, He secured forgiveness and extended forgiveness to all who would believe in Him.

Salvation is received through simple faith, by trusting in what Christ has already done, not by our own effort or worthiness. No one is beyond the reach of His grace. Even the most broken life can be cleansed, restored, and made new. At The Garden, we believe redemption is not earned but received, and that in Jesus, grace is deeper than sin and new life full of good fruit is truly possible.

Scripture References

1. “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.” (Is. 53:5)

2. “who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.” (Titus 2:14)

3. “Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.” (Is. 55:7)

4. “Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.” (Heb. 7:25)

5. “'Come now, and let us reason together,’ Says the LORD, ‘Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.’” (Is. 1:18)

We believe salvation is entirely the work of God’s grace. We bring no righteousness of our own and cannot earn God’s favor through our goodness or effort. We come to Him fully dependent on His mercy and love. Our hope rests not in what we have done, but in what Christ has done for us. Through His sacrifice, we are forgiven, cleansed, and made right with God. Salvation is received by trusting in Jesus, standing on His promises and accepting His free gift of love and pardon. At The Garden, we believe grace is not a reward for the worthy, but a gift for the willing.

Scripture References

1. “For by grace you have been saved...” (Eph. 2:8)

2. “‘There is none righteous, no, not one:’”(Rom. 3:10)

3. “...all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Rom. 3:23)

5. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.” (Jn. 6:47)

6. “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” (Eph. 2:13)

7. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Rom. 6:23)

We believe that when a person turns to God with sincere repentance and godly sorrow for sin, and places wholehearted trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, they are justified by faith through His precious blood. In Christ, condemnation is replaced with peace, true assurance, restored relationship, and favor with God. Jesus does not turn away the repentant. With open arms, He welcomes all who come to Him in humility, asking for mercy and surrendering their lives to His lordship. At The Garden, we believe the door of grace is always open, and that all who receive Jesus as Lord and King are met with forgiveness, peace, and new life.

Scripture References

1. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 Jn. 1:9)

2. “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” (Rom. 5:1,2)

3. “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” (Rom. 8:1)

4. “‘To give knowledge of salvation to His people By the remission of their sins, Through the tender mercy of our God, With which the Dayspring from on high has visited us; To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, To guide our feet into the way of peace.’” (Lk. 1:77-79) 5. “...the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.” (Jn. 6:37)

We believe that the change that takes place at conversion is real and transformative. When a person turns to Christ, they are born again: not symbolically, but genuinely, and the old way of life begins to pass away as something new takes shape. In Christ, our loves are reordered. What once pulled us toward sin loses its grip, and what once felt distant or undesirable becomes sacred and life-giving. Through the righteousness of Jesus credited to us and the indwelling presence of His Spirit, we receive new desires, new purpose, and a new way of seeing life, time, and eternity. At The Garden, we believe this new life leads to open confession and faithful obedience, not out of pressure, but out of love. A heart made new longs to follow Jesus, serve Him openly, and seek the things that lead to lasting life.

Scripture References

1. “...unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (Jn. 3:3)

2. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2 Cor. 5:17)

3. “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” (Gal. 2:20) “being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed.” (Rom. 3:24,25)

4. “Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night.” (Ps. 1:1,2)

We believe God has ordained generosity as the means by which His Church is sustained and His mission is advanced. Tithes and offerings are not merely practical: they are spiritual acts of worship, trust, and obedience. Through faithful giving, the needs of the Church are met and the work of the gospel moves forward. Scripture teaches us to bring our resources before God with faith, trusting Him as our provider. God invites His people to test His faithfulness, promising provision and blessing as we honor Him with what He has entrusted to us. Giving also shapes our hearts, aligning us with God’s purposes and growing our trust in Him.

At The Garden, we believe generosity is joyful, voluntary, and rooted in grace, not pressure or obligation. As children and heirs of God’s kingdom, we give freely and cheerfully, knowing it is more blessed to give than to receive, and trusting God to use our generosity to bring life, hope, and restoration to the world.

Scripture Reference

1. “Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given orders to the churches of Galatia, so you must do also: On the first day of the week, let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper, that there be no collections when I come.” (1 Cor. 16:1,2)

2. “Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly." (Matt 6:1-4)

3. “Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed Me, even this whole nation. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this, says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it." (Malachi 3:8-10)

4. "Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money into the treasury. And many who were rich put in much. Then one poor widow came and threw in two mites, which make a quadrans. So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury; for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole livelihood.” (Mark 12:41-11)

5. "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (Matt 6:21)

We believe that water baptism, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, is a sacred outward sign of an inward transformation. It is a beautiful reminder that, just as Jesus died on the cross, we die to sin, our old selves nailed to the cross with Him. Just as He was buried and raised, we are buried with Him through baptism and raised to walk in newness of life. Jesus is well-pleased with us simply by abiding in him and being with him, as opposed to the work we do for him.

We also believe in the Lord’s Supper as a holy remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice. The broken bread points us to Jesus, the Bread of Life, whose body was broken for us. The cup reminds us of His blood, shed for our redemption, connecting the cross to the hope of His return. This ordinance calls for hearts of reflection, forgiveness, and love, so that all who partake do so in humility and gratitude, uniting with Christ and one another in sincere worship.

At The Garden, these sacred acts are not mere rituals, they are living reminders of God’s grace, the new life we have in Christ, and the hope of eternity with Him.

Scripture References

1. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Mt. 28:19) (Also, Acts 2:37,38; Gal. 3:27,28)

2. “Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” (Rom. 6:4) (Also, Col. 2:12; 1 Peter 3:20,21; Acts 22:16)

5. “Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves.” (2 Cor. 13:5)

6. "And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” (Matt 3:17).

We believe that those who have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ and sealed by the Holy Spirit are called to a life of ongoing transformation. It is God’s will that we be sanctified daily, growing in holiness as we walk with Him.This growth is a process. We mature in faith, prayer, love, and service, first learning and receiving like children rooted in the Word, then walking humbly with God as our lives are shaped by Him. Over time, self becomes smaller and Christ becomes greater. As we grow, we are strengthened to live faithfully in the world, clothed in the armor of God and empowered to reflect Jesus in our character and conduct. At The Garden, we believe sanctification produces lives marked by the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. We desire to walk as a people Rooted in Christ, Growing in Community, Bearing Fruit to the World.

Scripture References

1. “For this is the will of God, your sanctification...” (1 Thess. 4:3) “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thess. 5:23)

7. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." (Galatians 5:22-23).

We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is the promised coming of the Comforter in fullness and power. It equips believers to live Spirit-filled lives glorifying Jesus, speaking boldly of Him, growing in prayer, holiness, and sobriety, and joyfully serving in the work of the kingdom. Even today, we believe the Spirit comes as He did in Scripture, upon all who are willing, empowering both individuals and the Church for effective, Spirit-led witness and ministry. Just as the Holy Spirit fell on the house of Cornelius, so may He come upon us, renewing, guiding, and filling us to live for Christ. We do not always know when the Holy Spirit will fall upon a room in power or even why, but we willingly open our hearts and our hands and welcome the Holy Spirit into our lives. At The Garden, we trust in the ongoing power and presence of the Holy Spirit to transform hearts, empower lives, and expand God’s kingdom.

Scripture References

1. “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever–the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” (Jn.14:16,17)

2. “for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now. 5. “While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word. 6. “And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.” (Acts 19:6) “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” (1 Cor. 3:16)

We believe that divine healing flows from the power and compassion of the Lord Jesus Christ. In response to believing prayer, He is able to heal the sick and restore the afflicted. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He has not changed, and He remains our sufficient help in every season of need, able to bring renewal to body, soul, and spirit. We believe healing is both possible and present through His power and grace. At The Garden, we pray boldly and trust God with everything, believing in faith that miraculous healings are possible while submitting fully to God’s sovereign will, confident that He is always good and always at work.

Scripture References

1. “‘He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.’” (Mt. 8:17)

2. “For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk’”? (Mt. 9:5)

3. “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (Mk. 16:17,18)

4. “Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.” (Acts 4:29,30)

5. “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed...” (James 5:14-16)

We believe in the personal and imminent return of Jesus Christ. He will come again in glory, descending from heaven as Scripture declares. At a moment known only to God, the dead in Christ will rise, and those who are alive and belong to Him will be gathered together to meet the Lord, and so we will be with Him forever. Because no one knows the day or the hour of His return, we live with watchful hope, expecting His coming while faithfully stewarding the lives we have been given. We take seriously Jesus’ command to remain active and faithful until He returns.

At The Garden, this hope fuels our mission. We commit ourselves to the work of the gospel, the sending of missionaries, and the building up of the Church with diligence and faithfulness, living each day as if Christ could return at any moment, and serving as if generations to come will carry the work forward.

Scripture References

1. “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.” (1 Thess. 4:16,17)

2. “...denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.” (Titus 2:12,13)

3. “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” (Mt. 24:36,42,44)

4. “...so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.” (Heb. 9:28)

5. “ ...‘Do business till I come.’” (Lk. 19:13) 116. “Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning; and you yourselves be like men who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately. Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them.” (Lk. 12:35-37)

We believe that all who receive Jesus Christ as Savior and King are welcomed into the family of God and become part of His Church. While the Church is universal and spiritual, we believe it is God’s design for believers to actively commit to a local, visible expression of that Church whenever possible. The local church is a community of believers joined together in Christian fellowship and united by the Holy Spirit. Together, we worship God with reverence and joy, follows the ways of Jesus, read and proclaim Scripture, and encourage one another to grow in faith. We labor side by side for the salvation of others, generously support the work of the gospel, and build one another up in love.

At The Garden, we believe the Church is one body with many members, and Christ alone is the head. As spiritual family, we commit to live in unity, serve faithfully, and work together so that God’s kingdom may take root, grow strong, and bear lasting fruit in the world.

3. “...And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.” (Acts 2:47) “So the churches were strengthened in the faith, and increased in number daily.” (Acts. 16:5)

4. “so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.” (Rom. 12:5) (Also, Rom. 12:6-8)

5. “Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, And the LORD listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him For those who fear the LORD And who meditate on His name. ‘They shall be Mine,’ says the LORD of hosts, ‘On the day that I make them my jewels, And I will spare them As a man spares his own son who serves him.’” (Mal. 3:16,17)

We believe that all people, both the living and the dead, will stand before God in final judgment. At that time, a just and lasting separation will take place according to God’s righteousness. Those who have rejected God’s grace will face eternal separation, while those who belong to Christ will receive eternal life in His presence. This judgment will establish forever the final destiny of every soul, in full alignment with the truth and justice revealed in God’s Word. At The Garden, this belief calls us to live with humility, urgency, and hope, trusting in God’s perfect justice, proclaiming His mercy, and pointing all people toward the life found in Jesus Christ.

Scripture References

1. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” (2 Cor. 5:10)

2. “The son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” (Mt. 13:41-43)

We believe Heaven is the glorious dwelling place of the living God. It is the home Jesus has gone to prepare for those who belong to Him. God Himself is its builder and maker, and it is the promised future of all who trust in Christ. All who have been redeemed by the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and His resurrection, and remained faithful to Him, will be welcomed into His presence. Jesus will present His people to the Father restored, whole, and made new. There, we will behold His face with everlasting joy.

In God’s eternal kingdom, there is no darkness, no sorrow, no tears, no pain, and no death. Heaven is filled with unending worship, joy, and peace, where all of creation declares the holiness of God and His reign has no end. At The Garden, this hope shapes how we live today: rooted in faith, strengthened by joy, and anchored in the promise of what is to come.

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” (Rev. 7:15-17)

We believe that hell is a real place of separation from God marked by darkness, sorrow, and eternal regret. Scripture describes it as a place prepared for the devil and his angels, and as the final destination of those who persistently reject God’s mercy and choose life apart from Him. Hell is not God’s desire for humanity. It is the tragic result of refusing the love, grace, and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Those who reject the Savior, even in the face of the Spirit’s calling and warning, choose death rather than the life God freely offers.  At The Garden, we hold this truth with humility and grief, not fear or judgment. We admit that we are not the ones who hold the key to judgement, and it is our job to love people like Christ did. This love compels us to proclaim the gospel with urgency, love, and compassion, trusting in God’s perfect justice while inviting all people to receive the forgiveness, life, and hope found in Jesus.
